Think your baby formula is the only one with a magic "shield"?
Think it matters?
Have you noticed how many spiffy icons are on your baby formula package?
They sound so unique. So what do these baby formulas all have in common?
Here's the truth every mom should know. All infant formulas meet the same nutritional standards established by the FDA. While clever names may sound special, what matters most are the ingredients that go into your infant formula – not the marketing department's creativity.
Store brand formulas use many of the same ingredients found in expensive name brand formulas. We just don't spend as much money coming up with creative names for those ingredients.
So, take the time to read the back of the label and do a side-by-side comparison. If you pick up a can of most store brand formulas, you'll see there's a convenient chart that compares it to the national brand formula. See many differences?
